Why Pancreatic Cancer?
- Pancreatic cancer is the tenth most common cancer in the UK.
- Approximately 7,500 new cases each year – 3% of all cancers.
- 80% of cases occur in people aged 60 and over.
- Typical post diagnosis survival period short.
- If effective in pancreatic cancer, this would be excellent “proof of principle” for larger cancer indications.
