Efficacy – Phase III study results

A 520 patient Phase III study was completed in 2008 which demonstrated an 88% efficacy on Day 14 using the standard international protocol.  If efficacy was measured at Day 9, KindaPed™ proved 95% effective.   Unlike other products, efficacy was not influenced by infestation level or hair length.  Additionally, KindaPed™ kills head lice eggs, preventing secondary infestation after treatment.  A single dose was enough in almost 70% of cases to kill all head lice present, but for safety the product is being recommended at two doses seven days apart.  The minimum duration of the dose is two hours.  The product dries within 30 minutes of application and is undetectable on the hair thereafter.
